Frequently Asked Questions
Half is an easy starting point, but you can pick any ratio that matches how much the kids actually use. For example, with Adult 1.0, Child 0.5 and Infant 0, Family A (2 adults, 2 kids) has a weight of 3.0 and Family B (2 adults, 1 infant) has 2.0. On an $1,800 cabin, Family A pays $1,080 and Family B pays $720.
Either works. Register each family as one member and enter how many adults, kids and infants it brings, and the family's weight is added up for you (2 adults and 1 child at 0.5 is 2.5). The settlement then shows one transfer per family instead of one per person.
Yes. Keep Adult 1.0 and Child 0.5 for groceries and restaurants, and on the lodging payment use "Change shares for this payment only" to give each family the same ratio regardless of size. Every other expense keeps the age-based split.
Untick them under "Target Members" on the lodging and meals from the nights they missed. They share only the expenses they were part of, and the adult and child ratios still apply among the families who were there.
Record each family's contribution with "Give to Organizer", and when the organizer pays for groceries or tickets from that pool, choose "Organizer pays". At the end, the settlement shows any refund due from the organizer or any shortfall still to collect.
Yes. Duplicate the event from the history on the home page. The families, the adult and kid categories and the currency carry over, and the expenses start empty.
Enter the tickets with every family under "Target Members", and the paid pass with only the families who used it. If you'd rather split the tickets by what each family's tickets actually cost instead of by ratio, open "Change shares for this payment only" and set a fixed amount for each family.
