Having kids and toddlers pay less can feel a lot fairer when families bring different numbers of children: a toddler nibbling a few fries isn't eating an adult's lunch. One approach is moms at 1.0, kids with their own meal at 0.5, and toddlers at 0. Say three moms have lunch for $135. Mom A brings 2 kids (weight 2.0), Mom B brings a kid and a toddler (1.5) and Mom C brings a toddler (1.0). The total is 4.5, so A pays $60, B $45 and C $30. Splitting it three ways would have been $45 each, with Mom C quietly paying for food her toddler never ate. Playdates get awkward because the amounts are small and the setups keep changing: one mom pays for lunch, another for coffee, play area tickets are charged per child. In FAMI-KAN, set the categories once, add each family with its number of kids and toddlers, and log payments as they happen. Everyone checks the same link, so nobody has to do the asking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Setting toddlers to 0 or 0.2 is one option. At 0, a mom with one toddler pays the same as a mom on her own; at 0.2, the toddler adds a little. Change it any time before you settle and everyone's amount updates.
On the ticket payment, use "Change shares for this payment only" and give each family a ratio equal to its number of kids. For $40 in tickets for 5 kids, families with 2 kids pay $16 and a family with 1 pays $8.
Use "Change shares for this payment only" to set a fixed amount for each family based on what they ordered. That works well for a menu with separately priced kids' meals.
Enter the wine as its own payment with only her under "Target Members". The rest of the lunch is split by the usual mom and kid ratios.
Log dessert separately and untick her family. She shares only what she was there for.
Record each $20 with "Give to Organizer" and choose "Organizer pays" when the gift is bought. If there's money left over, the settlement shows how much goes back to each mom.
