Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the bill-splitting and settlement support web application "FAMI-KAN" (the "Service") provided by TETRAS Ltd. (the "Company"). Users shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

1. Application and Consent

These Terms apply to all relationships between users and the Company relating to the use of the Service. By using the Service, users are deemed to have agreed to all provisions of these Terms.

2. Purpose and Scope of the Service

The Service is a tool to help calculate and split costs among participants of group trips, events, and similar occasions. The Service can be used free of charge by anyone without account registration.

3. User Responsibilities

Users shall use the Service at their own responsibility.

  • Care with entered content: Do not enter confidential information that could identify individuals (such as passwords, national ID numbers, or credit card numbers) into fields such as event names, participant names, or memo fields.
  • URL management: The Service is designed so that anyone who knows the generated share URL can access and edit it. Users are responsible for managing their own URLs to prevent unintended disclosure to third parties.

4. Prohibited Activities

Users must not engage in any of the following activities when using the Service. If any such activity is confirmed, the Company may delete event data or restrict use of the Service without prior notice.

  • Acts that violate laws, public order, or morals, or that relate to criminal activity
  • Acts that infringe upon the copyrights, privacy, or other rights of the Company, other users, or third parties
  • Acts that destroy or interfere with the functionality of the Company's servers or network (including excessive access via automated programs such as scraping)
  • Any other act deemed inappropriate by the Company

5. Disclaimer

In connection with the use of the Service, the Company shall bear no responsibility for the following matters.

  • No guarantee of accuracy of calculation results: The calculation results and cost allocations produced by the Service are provided as a reference only and do not legally establish precise amounts owed.
  • Disputes between users: The Company is not involved in any disputes or damages arising between users or third parties in connection with money exchanged based on results calculated using the Service.
  • Data loss: The Company bears no obligation to restore data or liability for damages, even if data entered by users is lost due to a system error, maintenance, or termination of the Service.
  • Leakage of information to third parties: Leakage of information and resulting damages arising from a user's own negligence in the disclosure of a share URL.
  • Suspension or interruption of the Service: The Company may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service without prior notice at its own discretion. The Company bears no responsibility for damages arising from this to users.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights relating to the programs, software, design, trademarks, logotypes, and other elements that make up the Service belong to the Company or to third parties with legitimate rights.

7. Changes to the Service

The Company may change the content or specifications of the Service, or suspend or terminate the provision of the Service, without notifying users. The Company bears no responsibility for any damages caused to users as a result.

8. Changes to These Terms

The Company may change these Terms at any time without notifying users when the Company deems it necessary. The revised Terms take effect once posted on the Service, and if a user continues to use the Service after the change, the user is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office.
