Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on what the grandparents want and how old the kids are. One option is young grandkids at 0 and teens at 0.5. With Grandparents 1.5 each (3.0 for two), Family A with 2 adults, a teen and a young child (2.5) and Family B with 2 adults and a young child (2.0), a $3,000 rental comes to $1,200, $1,000 and $800.
On that payment, use "Change shares for this payment only" and give them a fixed amount. If they put $750 toward the $3,000 rental, the remaining $2,250 is split between Family A (2.5) and Family B (2.0): $1,250 and $1,000.
Yes. Ratios work in either direction, so grandparents on a fixed income can be set at 0.5 while the working adults stay at 1.0. You can change it before you settle and everyone's amount updates.
Anyone with the link can enter a payment on her behalf and choose her as the payer. She can still open the same link to see the breakdown, with no app to install and no account.
Enter the extra nights as their own payments and leave only that family under "Target Members". The rest of the trip is still split by generation.
Record it with "Give to Organizer" and choose "Organizer pays" for meals paid from that cash. The settlement then works out how much is left over or still needed.
